Come join me in Newfaire, a turn-of-the-century city undergoing an industrial revolution. New inventions pop up every day and society is advancing at a rapid pace. Yet this city is built atop the ruins of an ancient, fallen civilization that still teems with the remnants of powerful magicks. Most people live their life blissfully unaware of the dangers that lurk below.
However, someone has opened a door in Newfaire. Disaster spills forth from this door and threatens to consume all of Newfaire before too long. What causes these disasters, how can the door be closed again, and could there be other factors at play here? It is up to the paranormal investigators of Candela Obscura to unravel the mystery of this phenomenon and contain it before it’s too late.
