All Dutch, International Minded
The second and a half edition of the Con will happen on 26th of October 2024 in the small town of Ewijk, near Nijmegen, Gelderland, the Netherlands. The Con aims to be multilingual, with Dutch, English, and German speaking organisers and volunteers.
Vendors and Merchandise
The Con will offer vendor tables, where visitors can peruse wares from official merchandise of games such as Dungeons & Dragons, to independent rule books sold by the designer. Of course everything a Game Master or player might need will be available as well – 3D printed miniatures and terrain, leatherworks, stationary, and much more.
Speakers, Workshops and Live Games
Visitors will be able to attend Workshops during the Con, or sit down and listen to a Speaker presenting a topic that you might be interested in. We expect workshops on terrain building and improvisation, and talks on accessibility at the game table and sound design for tabletop games.
And of course, there will be live game tables! Be it Dungeons and Dragons 5e or short indie games, experienced and new Game Masters will be running One Shots and small experiments during the Con.

The Venue: MFA ’t Hart Ewijk
RINCON 2025 Halloween takes place on 1th of november on the grounds of MFA ‘t Hart Ewijk. The address is Den Elt 17, 6644 EA, Ewijk.
The entire venue – as it is available – has been reserved for the convention. This means two giant vendor halls, several rooms for speakers, workshops, and live games – as well as a nice lounge to sit and chat. The lounge will offer a variety of drinks, snacks, and meals.
Why We Choose MFA as Our Venue
At Rincon, we are a small and loving community that values connection, warmth, and making everyone feel at home. We don’t believe in charging sky-high prices, and because of this, our budget for venues is limited. On average, convention-specific venues cost between €15,000 and €25,000 for a weekend—far beyond our means(for now….).

The venue might be smaller than you’d expect for an amazing con like RINCON, but both we and our visitors were charmed by its friendly nature, homely characteristics, and natural feel. We do our best to utilize every inch to ensure you don’t feel crowded but instead enjoy the cozy and affectionate atmosphere, just as we do.
Accessibility
MFA ‘t Hart Ewijk is fully wheelchair accessible. Ramps and lifts are located in all rooms and locations where required. There is a wheelchair accessible toilet on the ground floor. The toilet is fitted with grab rails. The minimum size of all wheelchair accessible doors is 86 cm. The lifts are 90 cm wide and 148 cm long.
If you can’t find the wheelchair ramps or elevators please feel free to ask our Knights to help you.
Sensory Room: A Space to Recharge
At Rincon, we want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable. That’s why we’ve created a Sensory Room—a calm and relaxing space designed for neurodivergent visitors or anyone feeling overwhelmed.
In this soothing sanctuary, you’ll find:

It is operated mostly as a ready-made items shop, with ready to ship stock.

Bespoke items are also an option, but slots are severly limited for completely custom items. Variations on existing designs are also possible and are generally easier to fit into the work schedule.
All items are designed and created within the workshop in Apeldoorn. All leather is hand-picked and purchased in smaller quanitites, to ensure a good variation of colour and make certain our items are either unique, or produced in very small quantities, so you won’t find too many people walking around with your item.
Besides leatherwork, there is a small of range props, also available through the webhop. Larp safe latex weapons are also offered as we are a reseller for Irregular Props and Mytholon.

What to Expect
This exciting competition features 5 Serious Categories:
🧵 Best Selfmade – Warlock Seamster
🎭 Best Original Character – Most Likely to Confuse the DM
🌿 Best on Theme – Probably a Mimic
🛠️ Most Creative Technique – Beware! Artificer at Work
📸 Best Pose/Photo – Most Likely to Be Mistaken for an NPC
But that’s not all! At every RINCON, we’ll unveil 5 Fun Categories unique to the event, keeping the competition fresh, exciting, and full of surprises.
How It Works
- Sign up at the booth of Coy Photographics during the convention. Let them capture your costume in all its glory with a professional photo.
- Each day, you can submit one entry. If the convention spans multiple days, you’re welcome to enter again—but if you win on one day, you won’t be eligible to win again that weekend.
- Judging will be conducted by a panel of experienced judges who ensure fair and thoughtful consideration for every entry.
Judging & Prizes
Our Knight Judging Team includes talented individuals from @Coy Photographics, Celina, Mirra, Epril, and Leonie (absent for spring 2025).
Every winner will receive a Golden Trophy to celebrate their creativity and hard work.
Competition Rules
- Open to All: Whether your costume is self-made, bought, or altered, all are welcome to participate. Trademarked and original characters (like your own D&D creations) are allowed.
- Family-Friendly: Costumes must provide sufficient coverage, avoid offensive themes, and be safe for a public setting.
- No Harmful Materials: Avoid substances like water, flames, fireworks, or anything that could harm others or the venue.
- Lighthearted and Fun: The competition is about celebrating costumes and having a great time.

Dr. Malus Morbus – The Plague Peddler
Dr. Malus Morbus is a mysterious figure roaming the event in search of visitors to save from the deadly plague. In their unique costume, they offer potions, charms, and dubious cures to protect you—if you’re willing to take a chance. For just €1, you can roll the Dice of Fate to see if you survive the plague… or face a grim end.
All proceeds from the rolls go to Stichting COC, supporting and preserving LGBTQA+ rights in the Netherlands.
Dare to seek Dr. Malus Morbus… but remember, not everyone is so fortunate!

Camping Het Hof van Wezel
At Recreational Land De Hof van Wezel, you can enjoy nature-friendly recreation. We value biodiversity, generate our own energy to some extent, and choose to preserve trees instead of cutting them down for recreational areas. Our pricing is not based on market forces or profit maximization. The goal is to ensure that even individuals with a financially weaker status can engage in recreation at Hof van Wezel.
Hof van Wezel is a social enterprise that contributes to social participation, integration, and livability in Beuningen and the Rijk van Nijmegen. The Hof doesn’t boast flags or stars but treasures valuable nature.
Hof van Wezel is RINCON’s official camp site! With the shuttle bus going to venue even stopping a 5 min walk from the camping site.

Accessibility
MFA ‘t Hart Ewijk is fully wheelchair accessible. Ramps and lifts are located in all rooms and locations where required. There is a wheelchair accessible toilet on the ground floor. The toilet is fitted with grab rails. The minimum size of all wheelchair accessible doors is 86 cm. The lifts are 90 cm wide and 148 cm long.
If you can’t find the wheelchair ramps or elevators please feel free to ask our Knights to help you.
♿ Disability Parking at RINCON 🚗✨
We have 10 designated disability parking spots, but if more are needed, we will make it happen! While spots cannot be reserved in advance, our Traffic Knight at the entrance will do everything possible to ensure those with a valid disability card get accessible parking.
If you’re arriving with a group where one member has limited mobility, we encourage you to drop them off at the entrance before parking at Groene Heuvels. The driver can then take the shuttle bus back for free with a special Disability Bus Ticket.

Sensory Room: A Space to Recharge
At Rincon, we want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable. That’s why we’ve created a Sensory Room—a calm and relaxing space designed for neurodivergent visitors or anyone feeling overwhelmed.
In this soothing sanctuary, you’ll find:
🌀 Fidget tools to help focus and decompress
✨ Cozy pillows and mesmerizing lights to create a tranquil atmosphere
To ensure everyone can enjoy the space peacefully:
- Please ask a volunteer for access.
- The room is limited to a maximum of 3 people at a time.
- Eating and drinking are not allowed inside.
Take a moment to breathe, recharge, and rejoin the fun when you’re ready. The Sensory Room is here for you! ❤️
Quiet Room: Your Space to Unwind

In the Quiet Room, you can:

Noise-Canceling Earmuffs: Comfort in a Noisy World
At Rincon, we understand that the lively energy of a convention can sometimes feel overwhelming—especially for those sensitive to noise. To help you stay comfortable and enjoy the event, we offer noise-canceling earmuffs specially designed to reduce sound and create a calmer experience.
💡 How It Works:
- Visit our designated booth to borrow a pair of earmuffs.
- A €25 deposit is required, which will be fully refunded when you return the earmuffs in good condition.
